Polaroid's

Trestles - 9/7/12
Surfing throughout most of my life,
I have felt a need to gain a connection with my photography and the
reason why I and most people want to surf. Weather it be to connect with yourself or a
higher power their is many reasons why people wake up at the break of dawn or while the sun is setting to get in 63 degree water. Using my Spectra Polaroid camera and my 35mm Minolta water proof camera I plan to document over time the many connections and reasons why people surf.

David- 8/17/11
My cousin David is a young adult who resides in Lakewood, California and is coping with his mental challenges.

Slowing down time and pausing to recognize a person in everyday life is uncommon. The pressure and confliction of society conceals true beauty, feelings, and emotions confining how we express them. Theses shots are behind closed doors and away from society's conformities, revealing and preserving a person's true being.
